Raising the profile
The main aim of the programme will be: To enhance the profile for Gaelic arts and artists, increase audiences and build support in the wider community for the Gaelic language.
The GASD Programme has been drawn up, with the aim of enhancing the profile for Gaelic arts and artists, increasing audiences and building support in the wider community for the Gaelic language. The GASD Programme will support the strategic development of the Gaelic arts sector so that it is better able to fulfill: * its creative role in enriching the life of all * its learning role in encouraging use of the language * its promotional role in raising awareness of Gaelic culture * its economic role in providing employment for artists and benefits to Gaelic communities.
Programme implementation will focus on three key areas. * Audience Development * Skills Development * Showcase Development
