Saol na nGael "Life of the Gaels"

08 November 2006

Although this is only the first year the competition has run, it's success has gone beyond everybody's initial expectations. Colmcille received over 300 entries from all over Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The purpose of the competition was to celebrate the shared history of the Gaels and asked people to encapsulate Gaelic life in an urban or rural setting in Scotland, the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, and offered prizes of a total value of £4,000.
