Mach ann an Deich Myspace

The wheels are in motion as Mach Ann an Deich hurtles towards opening night. The 2 day non competitive festival of short Gaelic Drama will be preceded by a week of drama related festivities - including a talk from John Murray on the future of Gaelic drama, a selection of Gaelic short films and drama activities for children provided by Feisean nan Gaidheal. (To be announced in full over the coming weeks). The main event will be a selection of short Gaelic plays - which were submitted to An Lanntair over Christmas from amateur and professional writers. But the hard work is just beginning for the playwrights - now it's time for casting, directing and rehersing their theatrical gems.

But you can follow the whole process with weekly blogs from one of our playwrights, Daibhidh Martin. In the coming weeks, he's going to be keeping us filled in on the trials and tribulations of the process through weekly video and diary blogs, plus pictures and behind the scenes footage (including some VERY memorable acting debuts you definately don't want to miss) - watch this myspace for more details!
