21st : Programme of Gaelic events set to commemorate St Kilda Day

On 29th August 2009 the first ever St Kilda Day will celebrate St Kilda - one of the world’s truly spectacular places. The event has been created by Pròiseact nan Ealan (PnE) to mark the evacuation of the last 36 St Kildans on 29th August 1930.

31st : Na Mo Chuid Aodaich - Borve

Since May 2009, Na Mo Chuid Aodaich (meaning In My Clothes) has been touring rural communities in Lewis and has wowed over 1200 enthusiastic audience members and raised almost £9000 for Crossroads Lewis.
