The Project
The project was a multi-media, music-theatre production based on the story of St Kilda. This major international co-production was performed in June 2007 in six European venues simultaneously and all six locations were be linked by live satellite connection with St Kilda. It was a powerful celebration of St Kilda and an exploration of its place in our collective European memory.
Enabled by technology this amazing concept brought together the best modern and historical forces in Europe whilst developing a framework for co-operations that transcends borders. Bringing to life an island culture that has been lost to history by the rekindling of the poetic and musical memory of roots that spring from celtic, viking and archaic christian traditions.
