Project Aims

To increase access to, and participation in, Gaelic storytelling activities.
To develop a network of Gaelic storytelling groups in communities throughout the Western IslesTo establish a database of storytellers, stories and archival resources.
To create a Sgeulachdan Website.
To generate new Gaelic storytelling resources through CDs, audio cassettes, radio and television programmes, print publications and new media.
To establish links between Gaelic storytelling and formal and informal education providers and activities.
To encourage new storytellers within the Gaelic tradition by establishing training provision and activities.
To collaborate with other cultural, community and media agencies to promote Gaelic storytelling within their activities.
