In March 2006, Glasgow played host to Scotland’s first Gaelic Music Conference, Iùl Ciùil (meaning Guiding Music). Organised by Proiseact nan Ealan, the 2 day event was made up of keynote speeches, panels and specialist surgery sessions. Dr Anne Lorne Gillies is currently pulling the outcomes of the conference into a report that will feed into a Gaelic Music Strategy for Scotland.
