Gaelic Music and Dance

The Gaelic Arts Agency has helped develop and establish a number of Gaelic Music and Dance events. Most notably is the assistance provided to the British Council in 1993 to establish the Barcelona Celtic Music Festival that has now become one of the major Celtic Music Festivals on the European circuit.

The Gaelic Arts Agency has been instrumental in developing a number of music and dance events. The Song of the Gael concert series at the 1997 Edinburgh International Festival, Cave of Gold a series of Gaelic song racings in conjunction with the School of Scottish Studies that was subsequently used as the soundtrack in the Channel 4 film broadcast.
